I have 26 years of manufacturing experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Production Management and Plant Management in small and large organizations. As a hiring authority for 21 of those years, I understand the technical, administrative and manufacturing work environment and the type of person it takes to be successful in that environment.

My philosophy as a recruiter since 1995 was developed as a Hiring Authority in manufacturing. I always felt it was the recruiter's responsibility to screen candidates to the best of their ability based on my job criteria and then present only those candidates that met or exceeded my minimum criteria. I now recruit to those same standards.

The candidates I recruit for my client companies are the same type of people I sought to work for me. They must be technically qualified through education, experience, or a combination of both, people and results oriented, creative and self-motivated. I must be able to verify these attributes through references.

Unless requested by a Hiring Authority I will not submit candidates for a position that I have not personally interviewed against the job criteria as well as checked a minimum of four references. Then I submit written summaries of the interview and reference checks to the Hiring Authority along with the resume.

Working in Human Resources helped me hone my listening skills and learn to ask good questions. Knowing the people and companies you work with is important in facilitating good matches for everyone involved. This is a business where everyone must have their needs met to be successful.

I have spent the last 19 years in the manufacturing industry. For the first 8 years I was a Human Resources Manager in a manufacturing facility. Since 1997, I have been a recruiter networking with my industry contacts and building relationships, forming a solid base of contacts.

My clients are looking for sharp, personable people who can be part of a team with success as a common goal. I look for people who have been successful in their field, and have a manufacturing background. Generally speaking, they have additional training after high school or college degree, vocational training and/or additional certifications, evidence of a desire for continued self improvement. Candidates with a stable work history in manufacturing are always in demand.
